Common Golden-Backed Woodpecker

I could not come as close as I wanted , to photograph this Woodpecker ( Dinopium javanense) but will try my best the next time I come across him. The bird closely resembles the Lesser Golden-Backed Woodpecker. The bird works up on stems of old trees, tapping them to find rotten and hollow wood and then drilling hole to eat the beetles and insects hiding withing them. They also feed on ripe fruits ans sometimes nectar too.

This black and white woodpecker have been packing at my wood house. He (or she) made hole in there last year and I plugged it with a piece of wood. This fall he just made another hole right next to the old one. I am pretty sure it is the same woodpecker. What should I do so that he never comes back to my house?

This reminds us so much of our Pileated here in Wisconsin -- only with a golden cloak over its back. Simply stunning.

Nice and colourful woodpecker.
Look like you need longer telephoto lenses. ;-)
