Jungle Babbler, photographed at Mangalore, in my grandpas farm. It is said that they are generally found in groups of seven and hence in India they are called "The Seven Sisters"The bird is quite noisy, and the presence of a flock may generally be known at some distance by the harsh mewing calls, continual chattering, squeaking and chirping produced by its members. It feeds mainly on insects, but also eats nectar and berries.
